creating buttons and ui for cookie clicker
this week I created 9 buttons for my cookie clicker game, I created these on illustrator using the square tool, then used the extrude and bevel tool to make them 3d, I then added images to each upgrade button and I added the text saying “click!!!” to the main button.
I created 8 upgrades along with the main button, these all match the theme of cookies in the game.
The first image is a finger button much like the default mouse tool as this is the upgrade that increases click power.

The second button I made was a grandma, as in the original cookie clicker the first upgrade is a grandma and I feel that it is very fitting to the baking cookies theme.

my third button was an oven as an oven fits in with the cookie theme as bigger/ more ovens would increase the cookie production.

my fourth button was a cookie plant to grow more cookies as it is a funny way to add another upgrade without just creating larger cookie machines

My fifth upgrade is a cookie factory as it is a larger scale and somewhat realistic way to produce cookies

my sixth upgrade is a cookie duplicator as I wanted this upgrade to become more futuristic as it is the third from last upgrade.

my seventh upgrade is a cookie planet as it is a much larger scale to the previous upgrades which i feel is fitting as it is the second to last upgrade.

my final upgrade is a cookie universe as it is larger scale than a planet and seems like a fitting final upgrade as it is both large scale and a somewhat funny ending upgrade to a silly set of upgrades.

The main click button is a simple wide button with “click!!!” written on top in the “milky coffee” font from dafont, the button is simple as I feel like it should not be overly complex however if given another chance I believe I would be more adventurous with my designs
